The story

A native screen for tight spaces.

A narrow, upright selection of our native red cedar, dense with soft green foliage that takes a bronze cast in winter. It grows quickly and stays slim, so a row of them screens a property line without taking over the yard.

Light

Full sun. Shade makes it thin.

Water

Water weekly the first year. After that, only in long droughts.

Planting

Spring or fall. Any well-drained soil, including clay, sand and alkaline soil.

Year-round privacy from a tough native that fits where a wide evergreen won't.
