The story
Bubbles in midsummer.
Twisted blue-green leaves make a tidy clump all season, then in midsummer up come round heads of soft lavender-pink flowers. It's a clump-forming allium, not a bulb that vanishes, and the foliage stays good after it blooms.

Full sun.
Water
Water weekly the first summer. After that, only in long dry spells.
Planting
Plant in spring or early fall, crown level with the soil. In clay, raise the bed or add grit.
Bees love it, deer and rabbits don't, and the leaves look good all season.
