The story

A palm that's from here.

A trunkless palm native to Southeastern swamps and woods, with stiff blue-green fans. It handles cold to about 10°F, wet soil, dry soil and shade, which is a long list for a palm.

Light

Full sun to full shade. More sun makes it more compact.

Water

Water regularly the first year. After that, rain is usually enough.

Planting

Plant in spring or early summer so roots settle before winter. Any soil, including clay and wet spots.
