The story

A small agave with white threads.

Deep green, lance-shaped leaves, each ending in a single spine, with curly white threads peeling from the edges. It stays compact, which makes it a natural for a pot on a sunny patio.

Light

Full sun outdoors. Indoors in winter, the brightest window you have.

Water

Water deeply, then let the mix dry out completely. Every week or two in summer, about once a month in winter.

Planting

Use cactus mix with extra grit. In zones 8–10 it can go in the ground in sharp, gravelly soil.

Desert texture in a size that fits a table or a step.
