The story

Cherry blossoms, falling on purpose.

The weeping form of the famous Yoshino cherry, with branches that arch toward the ground. In early spring, before the leaves, it's covered in single, almond-scented flowers that open pale pink and fade to white. It grows wider than tall.

Light

Full sun for the heaviest bloom.

Water

Weekly the first two summers. Water in dry spells after that.

Planting

Well-drained soil; cherries rot in wet clay. Plant at pot depth in spring or fall.
