The story

The citrus chefs chase.

Yuzu is grown for its knobby, fragrant fruit: aromatic zest and tart juice somewhere between lemon, grapefruit and mandarin. It's one of the hardiest citrus, taking brief dips near 10°F once established. Self-fertile, thorny and fragrant in bloom.

Full sun outdoors. Indoors, a south window or grow light in winter.

Water

Deeply when the top inch or two dries. Let pots drain fully.

Planting

Well-drained soil or citrus potting mix. Keep the graft union above the soil.
