Felted silver antlers
Narrow, strappy fronds covered in tiny silvery hairs that give them a felted look. Compact and sculptural, in a ceramic pot. Don't wipe it or use leaf shine; the fuzz is how it drinks.
Light
Bright, indirect light. This silver species handles more light than most staghorns.
Water
Water at the base when the mix is nearly dry, wetting the round shield fronds that hug the pot. Once mounted, soak the whole board for 10–15 minutes and let it drain.
Pot and soil
A very airy mix of bark and sphagnum moss. Never bury the shield fronds in soil.
