The story
Ruffled fronds, tough texture
Finely divided, arrow-shaped fronds with ruffled edges and a lime green stripe down the center. The leathery texture makes it tougher than the usual fern. Ships in a ceramic pot.
Light
Medium, indirect light. Direct sun yellows the fronds.
Water
Water when the top inch is dry. It handles a short dry spell better than most ferns, but don't make a habit of it.
Pot and soil
A peat- or coir-based mix with perlite and good drainage.
It's a fern for people whose last fern didn't make it.
