The story

The tidiest agave there is.

A tight, domed rosette of stiff dark green leaves outlined in crisp white, each ending in a short spine. It grows slowly and stays small, which is exactly what you want from a plant this neat.

Light

Full sun outdoors, or the brightest window indoors. Low light loosens the rosette.

Water

Water thoroughly, then wait until the mix is bone dry. Very little in winter.

Planting

A gritty cactus mix in a pot with a drainage hole. In the ground in zones 7–10, only in a raised, gravelly spot.
