The story

Boxwood, at a faster pace.

Glossy, dense green leaves on an upright shrub that fills in faster than most boxwoods. It takes shearing well and holds color through winter.

Light

Full sun to part shade. Shelter from winter wind in the North.

Water

Even moisture the first two years. Water before the ground freezes.

Planting

Spring or fall, at pot depth, never deeper.

A formal hedge or edging in a couple of seasons instead of five.
