The story
Deep lobes, bronze new growth
Wide leaves with deep, zigzag lobes. New growth comes up bronzey red with purple undertones and settles into shiny dark green. It grows wide rather than tall, so give it a bit of floor or a low table.
Light
Medium to bright, indirect light. Brighter light gives redder new growth.
Water
Water when the top inch is dry and let it drain.
Pot and soil
A chunky mix of potting soil, bark and perlite. Repot in spring when it's crowded.
It has the drama of a big tropical without needing a pole or a ceiling.
