The story
Silver stripes, terrarium-ready
Deep green leaves striped in pale silver and light green, like hand-loomed cloth. An understory plant, so it's relaxed about light, but it does want humidity.
Light
Low to medium, diffused light. Direct sun scorches it.
Water
Keep the soil evenly moist and never let it dry out completely. Use room-temperature water.
Pot and soil
A moisture-holding, airy mix with peat or coir and perlite. A terrarium or cloche makes humidity easy.
It's a rare plant that looks good in a dim, humid spot.
