The story

Blue-purple, late and long.

A dense, rounded mound of soft green leaves covered from midsummer into fall with flower spikes that open lavender and deepen to blue-purple. Butterflies find it the first week.

Light

Full sun. In shade it gets leggy and blooms thinly.

Water

Water weekly the first summer. Established plants are drought tolerant.

Planting

Plant in spring so it establishes before winter. Avoid wet, heavy soil.
