The story

A groundcover that turns plum.

A low, spreading juniper with bright green, feathery foliage that turns plum and bronze-purple in winter. It covers slopes, softens wall edges and fills gravel beds where heat, cold, poor soil and drought defeat other plants.

Light

Full sun. In shade it thins out.

Water

Weekly the first summer. Very drought tolerant after that.

Planting

Any well-drained soil: sand, gravel, rocky slopes. Avoid wet spots.

Evergreen coverage for the hot, dry places nothing else wants.
