The story

The dependable small hedge.

A rounded boxwood with small, glossy green leaves and a dense habit that shears into hedges, globes and edging. It handles Southern heat better than English boxwood. In cold winters the leaves bronze, then green up again in spring.

Light

Sun to part shade. Shade from winter sun and wind reduces bronzing.

Water

Weekly the first summer. Moderately drought tolerant once established.

Planting

Well-drained soil. Keep the root ball at grade and mulch, but not against the stems.

Clean edges and year-round green that put up with heat.
