The story

An exclamation point in green.

Small glossy leaves on tight vertical branches that keep a pencil-thin shape with little help. It grows slowly and stays a foot or two wide.

Light

Full sun to part shade.

Water

Even moisture the first two years. Mulch to keep roots cool.

Planting

Spring or fall at pot depth in slightly acidic soil.

Vertical structure for doorways and narrow beds where anything wider won't fit.
