The story

The perfume, on repeat.

Creamy white double flowers with full gardenia fragrance, in waves from spring into fall rather than one short flush. It stays a tidy 2 to 3 feet.

Light

Full sun with steady water, or morning sun and afternoon shade.

Water

Keep evenly moist. Dry spells cause bud drop.

Planting

Spring or fall, slightly high, in acidic, well-drained soil with organic matter.

A gardenia small enough for the front walk that keeps flowering after the others quit.
