The story

A whole range of yellows.

Drooping petals in soft yellow, gold and apricot around brown cones, and no two flowers quite match. Seed-grown, so the colors vary from plant to plant and the patch looks natural, not cloned.

Light

Full sun is best. Part sun works but expect fewer, leaner stems.

Water

Water weekly the first summer. Established plants are drought tolerant.

Planting

Plant in spring or early fall, crown at soil level, in soil that drains. Wet winter soil rots coneflowers.

A softer, more natural-looking yellow coneflower with real variation.
