The story

Dark leaves, pink flowers.

Dark purple foliage on a compact shrub, covered in pink trumpet flowers in late spring. Hummingbirds visit. It's sized for small beds and edging, not a back-of-border giant.

Light

Full sun for the darkest leaves and the most flowers.

Water

Water weekly the first summer. Established plants handle dry spells.

Planting

Plant in spring or fall, crown at soil level.

Dark leaves all season and a big spring show from a shrub that fits small spaces.
