The story

Yellow, green and sometimes pink

Clusters of smooth, succulent leaves in yellow, green and, in the right light, pink. Brighter light means louder variegation. Ships in a ceramic pot.

Light

Bright, indirect light. More light brings out the yellow and pink; low light turns it plain green.

Water

Let the soil dry out between waterings. The succulent leaves carry it through a missed week.

Pot and soil

A chunky, fast-draining mix with bark and perlite. Bigger pots don't help; it likes being snug.

A pet-safe hoya that colors up as the light improves.
