The story
Big, fragrant, old-school pink.
Fully double, rose-pink flowers the size of a fist, with a sweet fragrance and side buds that stretch the show. It's the classic cut peony, and a well-sited plant can outlive the person who planted it.
Light
Full sun for the most flowers. Light afternoon shade is fine in hot areas.
Water
Water weekly the first season. Established plants need water only in drought.
Planting
Plant in fall or spring with the pink eyes no more than 2 in. below the surface. Too deep is the top reason peonies don't bloom.
Generous, fragrant flowers on a plant that can live for decades.
