The story

Airy yellow spires.

A finely cut rosette of dark green leaves sends up tall, branching, wiry stems studded with small pale yellow flowers through summer. It adds height without bulk, and you can see the rest of the garden through it.

Light

Full sun.

Water

Water to establish, then only in long droughts. Wet soil rots it.

Planting

Plant in spring or fall in lean, well-drained or gravelly soil.

Height and a long summer bloom in a dry spot, without blocking the view.
