The story

It decorates itself.

A slim gray trunk with a crown of arching, feathery fronds. Clusters of fruit ripen bright red in early winter, which is how it got the name. It is one of the easier palms, and it sheds its old fronds on its own.

Full sun to part shade. Indoors, a very bright window.

Water when the top inch is dry. Don't let pots sit in water.
