The story

Big, glossy and well named.

Large, glossy leaves with a chartreuse-to-gold center and a dark green border. Fragrant pale lavender flowers open in late summer, after most hostas are done. It tolerates more sun than you'd expect from a hosta.

Light

Part shade with morning sun; full shade is fine but the center stays greener.

Water

About an inch a week, more in sun. Don't let it dry out.

Planting

Spring or now in fall, in soil worked with compost, crown at soil level.

Bold leaves, late fragrance and a little sun tolerance in one plant.
