The story

Low, loud, clove-scented.

Single scarlet flowers with a darker eye over a low tuft of blue-green leaves, and that spicy clove scent pinks are known for. It fills the front edge of a sunny bed or the gap between pavers.

Light

Full sun. In shade it stops blooming and gets sparse.

Water

Water weekly until established, then only when dry. Never let it sit wet.

Planting

Plant in spring or early fall in gritty, well-drained soil with the crown slightly high.

Bright color and real fragrance in a plant small enough for any sunny edge.
