The story
First color in the shade.
Dark green leaves splashed with big silver spots, low and tidy all season. In early spring, before most shade plants are up, it sends out clusters of flowers that open pink and turn blue-violet.
Light
Part shade to full shade. Sun scorches the leaves.

Keep it moist the first year. Established plants handle some dry shade.
Planting
Plant in spring or fall, crown level with the soil, in soil with plenty of organic matter.
