The story

A guava for the patio.

Round fruit with pink flesh and a sweet-tart, fragrant flavor, good fresh or for jam. It fruits young and stays manageable in a large pot.

Light

Full sun outdoors; the brightest window indoors in winter.

Water

Water when the top inch is dry. Steady moisture while fruit develops.

Planting

Plant in spring in sandy, well-drained soil, or a coarse potting mix in a pot with holes.

Tropical fruit that can live on a sunny patio and spend winter in the garage.
