Weekly the first year. Once established, deep watering every week or two in dry weather, especially as fruit swells.
Plant in late winter or spring with the graft union 2 in. above the soil. Wide hole, native soil, no amendments in the hole.
Balanced fruit-tree fertilizer in early spring, starting the second year. Skip late-summer feeding.
Prune in late winter to an open vase. Keep the grafted varieties in balance: cut back the most vigorous one harder so it doesn't shade out the others. Thin fruit to 6–8 in. apart.
Pink blossoms in early spring. Fruit from early to late summer, variety by variety. Leaves drop in fall; prune while dormant.
Peach leaf curl: spray copper in late fall or before buds swell. Brown rot on fruit: pick up drops and thin crowded fruit. Shoots from below the graft should be removed.
