Feeding

Balanced fertilizer in early spring.

Pruning

After harvest, cut fruited canes to the ground. Tip new canes at 4 ft. in summer to make them branch.

Through the year

Flowers in spring. Berries in early to mid June. Cut old canes after harvest; new canes grow for next year.

Orange rust on leaves: remove the plant. Cane blight: prune and dispose of affected canes. Birds eat ripe berries.
