Deer, squirrels and voles eat tulips; plant with crushed gravel or in cages. Bulbs rot in wet soil. All parts are toxic to pets.
Large, rounded pink tulips on stems about two feet tall, in mid spring. Darwin hybrids are the sturdiest tulips for wind and rain, and they come back better than most. They also last in a vase.
